October Goals
It seems like summer was over in the blink of an eye, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t excited that October is finally here. October means autumn, which is one of my favourite seasons (you can read why in this post) and the shift in weather always makes me want to de-clutter my flat and wardrobe. I’ve got lots planned for October, mostly life admin and work commitments, but we also have a few fun things on the agenda. Here’s what I am hoping to achieve in the next few weeks:

Transition my wardrobe

I try my best to keep a capsule wardrobe – and at the beginning of each season I get out my big box of clothes and pick my pieces for the next three months. I feel like I have a significant lack of A/W clothes, so I might be adding a couple of things this year. I am in desperate need of some new black boots and a decent choice of knitwear…and to be honest my coats are starting to look a little drab. I think a little ASOS haul is in order.

Start my Christmas shopping

I know, I know, I said the C word, but every year I find myself scrambling around for presents at the last minute – sometimes as late as Christmas Eve. This year I want to be super organised, and even if I only buy one present this month, I will be happy to have started! This year I want to spend December relaxing, drinking mulled wine and munching on cheese and mince pies – not frantically running around the shops!

Get back into a routine

I always struggle to get back into a routine after a holiday. Liam and I visited New York and Toronto last month, and I’ve been really slacking on being productive since getting back. I want to get back into a gym routine, plan my evenings better and get on top of the cleaning in our flat. It just takes a day of organisation – I need to put aside some time to do this.

Attend three gigs in two weeks

We’ve got a lot of gigs in October – Hippo Campus, Walk The Moon and Bleachers. We haven’t attended many gigs at all in 2017, which is very unlike us, and I am so excited to dust off my converses and band t-shirts. Two of the shows are in London, so I’ll hopefully get to mooch around Camden and Oxford Street on our travels.
Are you looking forward to October? I’d love to hear what your goals are in the comments. And don’t forget you can subscribe to Sophie So here.
