When Gemma at Roche Communications kindly invited me to the launch event of Carluccio’s new restaurant in Cheltenham on Tuesday evening, I jumped at the chance to get an exclusive new look at the town’s new eatery.
I have only eaten at a Carluccio’s once before when we visited Newcastle a couple of weeks ago and we were very impressed at their brunch offering. Anywhere that serves Instagram worthy breakfasts has a thumbs up from me! They offer everything from Eggs Florentine to porridge to frittata.
I feel that Cheltenham has only recently jumped on the brunch bandwagon with places such as Bills and Boston Tea Party seemingly being the only places to offer a decent Eggs Benedict or stack of pancakes on a Sunday morning. Carluccio’s adds another great option to the brunch table.
Carluccio’s stands apart from anywhere else in Cheltenham, with its diverse menu spanning all the way from breakfast through to brunch, lunch and dinner, along with sharing platters or small dishes should you wish to ‘graze’.
The launch event was very well attended and the guests were kept topped up throughout with prosecco and cocktails. They offered a great variety of canapes, as well as olives, risotto dishes and bread sticks wrapped in prosciutto. We were entertained with an accordion band which added to the great atmosphere and gave a nice Italian feel to the evening.
I am really looking forward to checking out Carluccio’s in the coming weeks, not only for brunch but to check them out for dinner and social occasions too. A very welcome edition to Cheltenham’s high street!
