I try not to spend too much money each month on high end beauty products, so it was a real treat when I received a £50 House of Fraser voucher for my birthday in December.
I was in great need of a decent blusher for my collection, as I was still going strong with my Benefit Hoola bronzer…just a little bit out of season!
After reaching out to my followers on Twitter, they recommended Bobbi Brown as the brand to go with.
I am a big Bobbi Brown fan anyway…their cream eyeshadow sticks are amazing for anybody who would rather spend a minimum amount of time of their eye makeup…so me basically!
When I reached House of Fraser, I was unsure on which shade of blusher would suit my skin tone. I have a very pale complexion and I often find that I am one of the lightest shades in foundation. The Bobbi Brown makeup assistant picked out a few shades but recommended the Pink Sugar shimmer blush.
I was unsure about the shimmer part as my face can get pretty shiny at the best of times but when she explained it was more of a highlighter/blusher in one I let her try out a small amount on the apples of my cheeks.
The pigmentation of these blushers is incredible. She only needed to apply a tiny amount to give me a health winter glow.
Another problem I encounter is the ability to keep my makeup from slipping after a full day in the office, so I asked the assistant what she recommended for touch ups.
She bought out the Face Touch Up Stick in Warm Ivory and explained that this was the fullest coverage of any Bobbi Brown concealer and perfect for re-doing makeup throughout the day.
The stick is small and discreet, perfect for popping in your pocket on the way to the ladies!
You can apply before or after foundation and blend with fingers. I prefer to ‘pat’ and blend with my Real Techniques buffing foundation brush.
I purchased both products and still had £7 leftover on the gift card…I think I might treat myself to another eyeshadow stick soon!
Have you tried either of these Bobbi Brown products? What did you think?
